Born in the summer of 2015, Lingio came about as a volunteer response to the European refugee crisis. Three former colleagues from Spotify and EA Games found a mutual interest in helping asylum seekers to succeed in the labor market by developing an app for learning the Swedish language. Lingio's first digital language courses have helped thousands grow into confident Swedish speakers and enter the labour market and society. We have also launched a new training platform in 2023. An AI Course Creator , which helps HR and business managers instantly transform documents and training materials into fun, gamified courses with language support. This way, companies can easily train and up-skill their staff. Our mission is to make knowledge accessible to everyone, regardless of educational background, ethnicity, language skills or disability.
